Graeme Nicholson and his son Luke have both won trophies donated by members of the family. Mary Valentine was an active member of Falkland Golf Club for many years and when she died her family donated a trophy to be played for in her memory. This is the first time a family member has won the trophy. Luke won the trophy donated by his great uncle for the juniors, the James Braid trophy.
Sunday saw the welcome visit of the St Ninians (Glenrothes) golf outing. This was the 13th year that they have played the event at Falkland GC. Despite the rain, the course held up well and their sprits were not dampened, the picture showing the winners after the post meal presentation in the clubhouse.
On Saturday a fine group of guys from Lanarkshire played the Taggart Invitational Tournament at Falkland GC. The wind got up for the afternoon round, but the course was responsive to some great golf including a gross 71. The picture shows some of the guys on the 9th green with their prizes, after sampling the hospitality the clubhouse has to offer and we hope to see them back next year.
